Introduction - Students will explore what they understand to be the meanings of ‘gender’ and ‘sexuality’ and participate in discussions designed to challenge some of their preconceptions. |

Gender - Students will study a number of theories on the nature of ‘gender’ through a series of readings and discussions. |

Gender in the Media - As a class, students will discuss various representations of gender in the media. In groups, they will produce a presentation that analyses a media depiction of ‘gender’.

Sexuality - Students will study a number of theories on the nature of ‘sexuality’ through a series of readings and discussions. |
