| Can you imagine the working conditions of the people who make your clothing? Do you spend more time thinking about the clothes you wear than the food you eat? Could the chocolate you eat be linked to child slavery? Who controls the TV stations and newspapers and what do they report in times of war? And what dangers do wars leave behind? These are just some of the questions we will investigate on our journey to better understand the world that we live in. This class focuses on global issues that we often neglect to think about for whatever reason and attempts to offer different perspectives for viewing these issues. |

| テキスト名： | There is no textbook for this class. Instead, we will use a variety of sources for each topic such as videos, radio news broadcasts, newspaper articles, magazine articles and selected pages from books. We will also use the Internet as a research tool and create an online class forum. |
| 注意事項： | While the class does have a lecture element, be ready to actively participate in class discussions and projects. You will be expected to communicate about the topics with each other and your teacher on a regular basis. |
