This course aims to give students background and introductory information on contemporary American life.  You will learn about central dimensions of American society from geography and the environment, government and politics, to religion, education, media and the arts.  With an historical approach, the course will give you an insight into American society at the start of the twenty-first century.

評価方法: The grade will be based on attendance, class participation, homework assignments, quizzes, exams, a presentation and a final paper.
