This class is an introduction to Christianity and its influence on art and culture. From the rap music of Kanye West, the art of Leonardo DaVinci, the rock music of U2, the Harry Potter series, the literature of Ayako Miura (Shiokari Pass, Freezing Point)、the movies Matrix and Sister Act, and even the cartoon character Snoopy -- Christianity’s influence on culture (Western and beyond) and art is both wide and deep. This course will take a close look at Christian thought and its expression in art, cinema, music, and literature.
