Part 1 Getting Started: Classroom activities

This course focuses on classroom activities and shows how to use them in an effective way. Listening activities, games, songs and storybooks will be demonstrated and participants will have a chance to build their own activities.

Part 2: Methodology

The second part of this course will look at how children learn, and in particular how they learn languages. Activities designed according to various theories will be demonstrated and the theory will then be explained and discussed. Participants will have opportunities to apply the theories in designing their own activities.

評価方法: 100% attendance is expected as is active participation in all class activities.
Design of activities and lesson procedures will be graded on their integration of teaching experience with material learned in class.

テキスト名: Reading material will be provided in handouts.

注意事項: Prepare to bring a favorite children's song, storybook or teaching game and whatever is needed to demonstrate it in class.
