This course will explore contemporary British society and the idea of 'Britishness' through the analysis of pop culture texts, such as films, music and art. Students will develop a better understanding of Britain as it is today, looking at important issues such as language, culture and recent history. They will achieve this by taking part in discussions and seminars based on British films, music and art and other important aspects of modern British life. The course will give any student visiting Britain for the first time a useful perspective on what to expect when they arrive. It will also be an opportunity for anyone who has been to Britain to deepen their understanding of it, and will allow anyone who simply has an interest in Britain to develop that interest further.

評価方法: Coursework-based (No examinations)

注意事項: This is a course for students who wish to visit the UK or have an interest in learning more about it. Please be ready to share your ideas and do some research!
