This course will provide students with an introduction to intercultural communication. It will begin with a look at basic definitions and theories, before moving onto a series of case studies that demonstrate different situations that arise during intercultural communication. The final unit of the course will look at the future of international communication and possible solutions to avoid conflict between people from different cultures. In this class, students will have the opportunity to work on and improve all four language skill areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. There will be two short quizzes, one unit project and one final paper.
