In this course, students will study popular culture and gain more experience using and developing their English language communication skills. Students will critically think about topics of popular culture by completing activities and assignments that will require combinations of reading, writing, listening and speaking both inside and outside of class. Students will actively listen to lectures about topics in popular culture and share ideas with others concerning popular culture which students will present in four small group formal presentations over the semester.

注意事項: In place of a final examination, students will submit a portfolio containing assignments, teacher and audience assessment forms of small group presentations, and any other relevant documents about the course. Students will then write an academic essay in which they reflect on activities and assignments that they will have completed over the semester. Finally, students will share this portfolio and reflection with classmates during the final class meeting.
