This is an elective course for non-Japanese students (gakubu ryugakusei) of the IC department. Students must have completed Intermediate English I/II prior to this course.
Students do not need to have any prior work experience or knowledge of business to take this introductory course.
The course objective is to (1) introduce the general topics and concepts used in business (2) familiarize students with the English phrases and vocabulary important for the business world (3) help students develop their overall communication skills (4) introduce content that may be useful for the TOEIC exam.
The instructor will use English during class time. Students will also be expected to speak English at all times during class.
