This course is for: (1) the non-Japanese students of the IC department who have completed Basic English and (2) 1st year non-Japanese students assigned to this course after taking the English Program for Foreign Students (EPFS) placement exam in late March. The objectives of this course are to help students (1) acquire an intermediate level understanding of English (2) communicate and use English in various contexts/topics (3) improve overall English skills The instructor will use English in class and students are expected to speak/use English during the class time.

評価方法：

The grade policy will be explained during the first lesson.

Students do not have to purchase the textbooks before attending the first lesson. The instructor will order the textbooks after confirming the class list.
