Students will discuss ethical issues. The discussion will increase their cross-cultural understanding as culture has a substantial influence on our understanding of ethics. Students will need to state a position on a given issue and then back up their position with an argument thus increasing their ability to be persuasive both orally and in writing. Students will be presented with an ethical issue each week, they will then have a chance to share their ideas about that issue. Following class they will be required to write a reflection; their ideas about that issue. There are no ‘correct’ answers to these issues, rather the focus will be on the way they support their ideas with reasons.
