This course takes a look at how culture influences fashion.  The first part of the course looks at the history and culture of several ancient civilizations and the second part of the course looks at the evolution of fashion and how history and social norms affect fashion trends and style. The objective of this course is to understand how history and social norms impact our every day lives.

Class discussions and participation - 20% Oral presentations (2) - 40% Final paper - 20% Journals - 20%

This course is limited to 16 students. Please prepare a folder for your portfolio and a B5-sized notebook for your journal.
