This course is a continuation of first semester's Intermediate English IIIA; however, students do not have to have completed the first semester in order to take the second semester's course.
This is an elective course for non-Japanese students (gakubu ryugakusei) of the IC and IL departments. Prior to this course, students must have satisfactorily completed Intermediate English I/II.
The focus of this course is on developing the students' general ability in speaking English. The textbook will introduce the most common spoken expressions and communication strategies from North America. Classroom activities and assignments will allow students to practice their English conversational skills, increase fluency and develop vocabulary knowledge/use.
Students are expected to speak English only during class.
