This course aims to explore contemporary U.S. culture and to examine the present-day American psyche-- values and beliefs that the Americans have.
In the second semester, we will learn such aspects of American life as the media, American heroes, education, business, and leisure.  Starting with some background information about each issue, we will read various texts from current newspapers, magazines, books, and websites.  These will give us a comprehensive insight into the way the Americans see themselves.

評価方法: The grade will be based on attendance, class participation, homework assignments, quizzes, and a final paper.
