This course is designed mainly for students who wish to pursue a career in second language (L2) education as well as for those who wish to pursue graduate studies in applied linguistics and second language acquisition or related fields. It examines the psycholinguistic and sociocultural foundations of task-based L2 research and considers the implications of this work for the teaching and learning of an L2. Students will be provided with opportunities to perform some of the major tasks that are used in L2 studies and to reflect on their experiences with these tasks. Moreover, they are encouraged to think critically about ways in which theory and research in this area may be applied to their chosen teaching situations.

評価方法: Grading will be based on participation, homework, presentations, quizzes, and a final project.
