  Statistical Methods in Communication Research

This course concentrates on the understanding and application of appropriate statistical methods in student research projects. Whether goals involve writing a thesis or a research paper, each student will develop a quantitative plan in which models and tests are chosen appropriate for research questions. The class includes lecture and guidance by the professor as well as class discussion of student projects. It is open to all majors and is particularly appropriate for students who plan to develop quantitative projects and write in English.

評価方法: Grades will be based upon successful completion of a research plan involving statistical methods and written in English. Students are expected to apply principles to their own research as well as provide input and support for their colleagues in class. Class members are expected to maintain a scholarly and professional attitude.
