２００５年９月に開催された国連設立６０周年記念サミットで決定された国連改革案の推進の過程を国連本部のweb site を通してフォローし、特に安保理事会の拡大と日本の立場に焦点をあてる。また６月以降事務局の改革はどの様に施行されるのか？　又国連改革としてサミットで提案された対テロ条約や人権理事会の設立はどの様に進行しているかを２００５年３月にアナン事務総長が出したレポート：In Larger Freedom:towards developmnt, security and human rights for allを読みながら、安全保障、軍縮、人権の問題を皆で一緒に考える。UNDP の　Human Development Report 2005: International cooperation at a crossroads: Aid, trade and security in an unequal world も併読する。最後に国連改革問題を総合的に考察する。PPT使用の発表、クラス討論を奨励する。

評価方法：

出席状況、発表、クラス討論への参加状況、レポート。

テキストが英文の国連レポートのためかなり高レベルの英語読解力を要する。 前期の国際機構論IBの取得者を優先するが、前期に取らなかった学生も歓迎する。
