英文法については中学・高校でも学んできたであろうが、本講義では、言語一般が持つ基本的構造と概念の観点から、英語という言語の全体像と特殊性を把握する。英語の学習の一部としての英文法は、様々な語彙や構文および規則の集積という捉え方がされてきたかもしれないが、本講義では、逆に、英語の全体像から部分としての構文や規則、文の構成要素を見ていく。そうすることで、自分の英文法の知識を再構成し、断片の集積としての英文法ではなく、英語という言語体系の核としての英文法を身につけてもらいたい。

評価方法：

中間試験、期末試験、宿題、出席日数を勘案して算出する
