This is an elective course for non-Japanese students (ryugakusei) of the IC and IL departments.  The focus of this course is to introduce (1) the general format and content of the TOEIC  exam (2) the most useful test-taking strategies. Students will take a sample TOEIC exam at the beginning and also at the end of the course to measure progress.

評価方法: The grade policy will be explained during the first class lesson.

1. Introduction: The TOEIC Test、Strategies、
              homework、the grade policy etc.
2. Practice Test 1 Section 1: Listening Comprehension
                            (45minutes) Correct
                            and discuss the students'
                            answers using the tapescript
                            and explanatory answers.
3. Practice Test 1  Section 2: Reading Comprehension
                            ( 75 minutes )
4. Practice Test 1  Correct and discuss the students'
                 answers. Help students know how the
                 test is constructed and understand why
                 they made a mistake.
5. Chapter 1    Offices and Personnel
        Each part has two strategies, A and B, and
                Review to help the students' knowledge of
                Englslish to increase and their ability
                to reason, interpret, and reach
                conclusions.  
                Find the type of mistakes they make and
                put emphasis on the areas where they
                need help.
