Students will learn four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will also be taught Vietnamese conversation by utilizing both written and oral exercises in each lesson. The purpose of these exercises is to encourage students to practise Vietnamese  language as much as possible.

評価方法: After this course students will have a final test and will have grades which base on the Evaluation System of The KUIS, for example: Grade A+ (100-90), Grade C (69-60).

Functions: Talking about the date, introducing your plan and weekly timetable
Grammar: Adverbs "sap, se"; verb "de";  question words "bao lau, bao gio"
Listening/Pronunciation: Listening to the dialogues between two people at the airport and at the office    
Writing/Reading: about a daily activity
2. Topic: Go straight ahead on this street.
Functions: Talking about location and giving directions
Grammar: adverb "moi"; adjective "lam"; construction "khong….dau"; final particles "di, a , ha"
Listening/Pronunciation: Listening to people ask for  information  
Writing/Reading: Writing about your house/apartment’s location
3. Topic: I should go by which means of transportation?
Functions: Talking about transportation and transportation problems
Grammar: Question word "nao";  final particles "vay,  thoi"; construction "neu…thi…"
Listening/Pronunciation: Listening to two dialogues at the ticket office and at the information desk of Tan Son Nhat Airport
Writing/Reading: Reading about a famous city in central Vietnam; writing about transportation in Japan
4. Topic: How many people are there in your family?
Functions: Introducing your family; remembering your childhood
Grammar: Constructions "da…chua, nao…cung…"; adverbs "cung, con"; personal pronouns "chung ta, chung toi"
Listening/Pronunciation: Listening to a short paragraph
Writing/Reading: Writing a dictation about a Vietnamese family
5. Topic: In the restaurant
Functions: Talking about food; expressing likes and dislikes
Grammar: Constructions "khong …gi…, gi ….cung…"; exclamatory "thoi"; final particle "nhe"
Listening/Pronunciation: Listening to a dialogue in a restaurant
Writing/Reading: Reading about a lunch in a restaurant
6. Review vocabulary, grammar points, and ways of speaking about time, means of transportation, family, ways of ordering food
