This is a course of studying contemporary America. We will learn various aspects of American life such as the political system, education, religion, sports, etc.
Students will be given some background information about each issue and then will read texts taken from contemporary writings including newspapers, journals, interviews, cartoons, and photographs. These show the contrasting views held by different strata of society and will give us a comprehensive insight into the way Americans see themselves.
