In this class we will learn from the heroes of classic adventures like Alice in Wonderland and Dracula, as well as more recent stories of fiction and nonfiction, learning and practicing language skills in the context of what they can empower us to do. Although much of this practice will take place in the realm of the imagination, we will always keep a focus on the real-life usefulness of our newfound skills. We’ll see how our listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar language superpowers can help us solve mysteries and put the pieces of continuing stories together. Expect to develop language learning strategies and to set goals for your own progress. Above all, expect surprises!
