Oral Communication (a) (b) The goal of this class is to improve the students' speaking and listening abilities. A variety of materials are used. Students interact and give individual or group presentations. Media English (a) The goal of this class is to develop the students' ability to read and understand English newspapers. Media English (b) The goal of this class is to develop the students' ability to comprehend television news programs or documentaries. Intensive Reading (a) (b) The students in this course read English texts dealing with intercultural topics and discuss them. Emphasis is put on comprehension and advanced vocabulary development. Extensive Reading (a) (b) The goal of this course is to develop reading fluency in English. The students read a large quantity of English texts including graded readers, short stories, and/or novels. Communicative Grammar (a) (b) This course is a thorough review of English grammar with an emphasis on the kind of grammar necessary for effective communication in English. Advanced Writing (a) (b) This course helps to develop the students' ability to write coherent essays in English. |
| 評価方法： |
In all the Sogo  classes, attendance is absolutely required. Students who are absent will fail the course. In addition to attendance, evaluation is based on class particiation, tests, reports, homework, and presentations.
