Oral Communication aims to help students use natural sounding language appropriately in a range of common conversational situations. The course is largely based on a "lexical appraoch". The focus is on larger, easily recalled, natural sounding "chunks" of language. This also includes idioms. Topics that will be covered in this class include appologizing, giving and receiving compliments, making requests, being negative / positive, being polite, giving encouargement, guessing and expressing surprise.
This course is open to all students however priorty is given to 1st and 2nd yearLC students.
