Media English courses aim to provide students with a global perspective and an understanding of global media issues and foster student’s ability to think critically about what is presented in the media. Through reading newspapers and internet research the course imparts students with an understanding of the genre conventions of the internet and broadcast news media. The course also strives to improve student’s general knowledge of world geography and history and continue developing their vocabulary.
