Some people love working in a group and other people are frustrated with group work. Working in groups and teams is important and unavoidable in life. In this course we learn * basic group and team concepts * how and why group experiences may both satisfy and frustrate you and other members of your groups * how to become aware of how communication operates in groups * how to work in a group effectively through exercises * how to identify conflicts and work together to solve them Attendance and class participation, group projects, presentations, exams. *Most of your grade will be based on group projects. In principle, each person in the group will receive the same grade for the group projects. Thus it is important that you establish trust and create a cooperative climate. |
