This course is for Foreign (ryugakusei) Students (of the  C and LC departments) who have completed Beginners English or who are assigned to this course by the placement exam. This course is not open to Japanese students. Class time will be divided into 3 koma per week for textbook instruction and 1 koma per week for Independent Study.
The goals of the program are to help students: become both better English learners and self-directed learners; acquire basic understanding of English and its usage; use English for communication.
The instructors will use both Japanese and English to support the students.
