The course will look at contemporary London from a sociological perspective focusing on topics such as leisure and lifestyle, demographics, culture, etc. The objectives of the course are: Allow participants to learn about the inner workings of one of the world's best-known cities Allow learners to form a better understanding of their own society by making meaningful and informed comparisons with other cultures and subcultures Help learners to develop critical and analytical reading/thinking skills |
| 評価方法： | Students will be graded according to class participation, presentation and final report. They will also be asked to maintain and submit a portfolio containing evidence of research done, articles read and vocabulary encountered over the duration of the course. |
