An introduction to contemporary American pop-culture, recent
developments and reflection on its influence on international popular culture.
It will allow students to explore popular American arts (musical) and films
(iconography and imagery) as forms of internationalizing American/Western
ideals and as a source of cross-cultural study.

評価方法： Reaction papers, short written reports and Homework (40%)
Discussion activities and presentations (40%)
Class participation (20%)

１．Students will think about, and examine American culture and what it means to be "American."
２．Students will work individually and in groups on cultural analyses
that include frequent short responses, a group presentation, circle discussions
on various topics; and open conversation.
３．Students will be expected to:
1) Attend each scheduled class; 2) meet assignment deadlines;
3) ask questions; and 4) give their best and participate with good faith effort.
