1. | Language awareness. Class discussion of the areas of grammar and vocabulary of English. This will enable participants to reflect on and build their knowledge of the language and promote an analytical approach to drawing meaning from language. |
2. | Language teaching. Class discussion and tasks concerning Language Teaching (Practice Activities, Testing, Methodology, Teaching Reading, Lesson Planning etc, etc). We, as a class, will select topics for study. Topics more relevent for the Japanese situation are selected for the participants e.g. Pronunciation Teaching and Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). |
3. | Language teaching and learning journal. Students are asked to keep a journal of the activities and how they felt on the course. |
