Marketing and Group Communication

This course provides principles and practice in communicating in English within the context of international and multi-cultural business settings. This is not a course in English grammar or writing skills; it is a course in English communication and concentrates most especially on Marketing Communication. This course is designed to provide an atmosphere in which you can (1) develop and articulate business goals relative to your own career, (2) gain confidence in expressing yourself and working with others in English, and (3) develop a greater sensitivity to cultural diversity in the work place.  

評価方法: Grades will be based on the application of principles to specific communication settings. Major assignments include:
1. Development of a business and marketing plan
2. Participation in a business group project
3. Written evaluation of problem solving in business groups
4. A public presentation in English
Since much of the course involves discussion and response to other class members, attendance is mandatory. Three unexcused absences will result in lowering your final course grade by 10%.
