The Approach to peace

Despite the demise of the cold war, wars and conflicts don't disappear from the international society.These problems owing to a variety of causes such as racial prejudices, ethno-racial antagonism, religious strife and sexism appear to make headlines in the mass media everyday.
In this course, we think about together what to do in order humanity may establish a lasting peace on our planet.
The course aims to hope for the students' effort to find themselves answers to problems you treat with. For that, regular in-class research studies are supposed, and individual or group presentations are required to contribute to the class discussion.

評価方法：

Attendance 10%, Class participation 70%　(research 20%, presentation 20%, discussion 30%), Paper 20%

テキスト名：

Reading materials will be provided by the professor but a printing fee will be requested.

注意事項：

In the class, all students will form groups of 4 or so and each group is required to discuss among themselves the issues presented by two of group members, taking turns preparing a preparatory research paper in advance for a discussion on a common subject each group choose.
