Intensive Reading (a) (b) The goal of this course is to read English texts dealing with intercultural topics and discuss them. Emphasis is put on comprehension and advanced vocabulary development. Extensive Reading (a) (b) In this class the students read American short stories and analyze them. Communicative Grammar (a) (b) This course is a thorough review of English grammar with an emphasis on the kind of grammar necessary for effective communication in English. Advanced Writing (a) (b) This course helps to develop the students' ability to write coherent essays in English. |

In all the Sogo classes attendance is absolutely required. Students who are absent will fail the course. In addition to attendance, evaluation is based on class particiation, tests, reports, homework, and presentations.
