PURPOSE
To conduct research on international communication from a broad perspective, focusing on language, politics, economics, religion and education, exploring ways of achieving effective communication between Japan and other nations. The Intercultural Communication Institute was founded in 1983 in Tokyo, and shortly after relocated to the Kanda University of International Studies in Makuhari, Chiba in 1987. To achieve the aforementioned purposes, the Institute is engaged in activities such as joint research, publication of journals & newsletters, public lectures as well as various workshops and meetings between professionals and students interested in intercultural communication.
